POLYTRACK, MEASURED

PolyTrack multiplayer: what it is and what it is not

PolyTrack has no live opponents, and its own UI never says otherwise: there is no lobby, no room list, no opponent name on the track. The “multiplayer” here is two other things — ghosts that race your recorded laps, and courses other people built and shared as codes.

What the listing says the social layer is

  • the leaderboard carries best laps recorded by verified players, and you can race any of them as a ghost
  • custom tracks are shared as codes that people post in forums and communities
  • your own best lap is available to race against, so the person you compete with most is yourself

OFFICIAL ONLY

Those three claims are the store listing’s, read 2026-11-02. It does not mention live races, lobbies or co-op anywhere on the page.

What we actually saw on screen

IN-GAME

In a signed-out session on a public track there was no other player in the world and no way to invite one. The only corner buttons were 退出 (leave), 观看 (watch a recorded lap) and 下一赛道 (next track). The one “Invite friends” button on the screen belongs to the CrazyGames page around the game, not to PolyTrack.

Three things the word could mean, and where each stands

What it could meanWhere it standsEvidence
Live racing against another personnot seen; the listing never claims itno lobby UI in the client
Racing somebody’s recorded lapthis is the actual competitionghost car plus the record column
Playing courses other people builtclaimed by the listing; format unpublished“shared as codes”, no example given

What a code is, and why we have not published one

The listing says codes are how custom tracks travel, but it does not show the format, say how long a code is, or explain where it is pasted. Publishing a code we have not generated ourselves would be a guess with somebody else’s work attached, so this page waits for our own build.

NEEDS CHECK

Open: the length and alphabet of a share code, whether codes import between hosts (browser vs app), whether a shared track carries its leaderboard with it, and whether two players can race the same custom track at the same time.
